Shayla is
going abroad
to Europe!
I will be studying for a semester in Berlin, Germany at NYU's
Stanislavski, Brecht and Beyond: An Integrated Approach to Actor Training program,
and after that I will be studying in Amsterdam, Netherlands at NYU's
International Theatre Workshop.

I am so excited and honored to have these extraordinary opportunities
to learn and grow in different artistic spaces and cultures!

I will be returning to New York City in September, 2025.
The Bacchae - (PAST)
NYU Tisch Drama Main Stage
This Greek Tragedy, reimagined in the the United States during the late 60’s, centers around the God Dionysus and the unfurling of his plots of revenge on the king of Thebes and his family.
I play the king’s mother, Queen Agave, who has been turned mad and tricked into committing horrific acts to her son. She then realizes what she has done, and must deal with the consequences.
